Kotaku reports that a voice over casting call has revealed some potentially major Portal 2 details. The casting call was discovered by a tipster on breakdownexpress.com, a website devoted to listing casting calls for various projects. The casting call, which requires a subscription to view), is for a major role in the sequel, described as someone who “Goes from sidekick to principal antagonist.” We won’t spoil more than that here. Those who aren’t worried about spoilers can find more info after the break.

This past weekend, Turpster, Daniel Whitcomb, John “BBB” Patricelli, and I all sat down for a good hour’s worth of discussion about the biggest posts over the past week of WoW Insider. We call it the WoW Insider Show, and the latest episode, number 40, is now available over on WoW Radio and in iTunes.

  • We answered a ton of reader questions on email, including the ongoing discussion of what Turpster should do to ding 70 on his Shadow Priest, and why Blizzard has overpowered a lot of high level crafting items.
  • We talked about the news that two classes had soloed Onyxia, and whether it’s impossible for other classes to do it.
  • We chatted about killing Kil’jaeden, and whether those endgame kills matter to the rest of us who aren’t in those guilds.
  • And we talked about account sharing: why people do it and why Blizzard doesn’t want you to (and will ban you for it).

Plus, if I’m not mistaken, you can not only hear Turpster doing a Sean Connery impression, but also John P’s favorite new song, Pugging Kara Blues. It’s a really fun show this week, definitely give it a listen.

And don’t forget, if you have comments or questions, you can email them to us at theshow@wowinsider.com, or go ahead and jump on WoW Radio’s forums — next week, we’ll definitely be taking a look at some of the topics that have come up in there for sure. Enjoy the show this week!

As much as we love our friends at MTV Multiplayer, we’d like to request that they not get exclusive trailers anymore. Why? Well, like all MTV videos, the above Samba de Amigo trailer isn’t viewable in the UK or Canada. Maybe we’re just naive, but we think seeing crazy trailers for Wii games is an inalienable right (like hugs) and we don’t think anyone’s day should be be without some nutty, PaRappa-the-Rapper-goes-South-of-the-Border action … even if they are Canadian.

We’d love to paint a word picture for our Brit friends, but honestly, there are no words in English that can accurately reflect how rad it is watching a monkey play maracas. … Hey, don’t blame us, it’s your language.

Have you heard about Secret Agent Clank? You probably have. The Ratchet & Clank spin off came out about a month ago in Europe, but if you haven’t picked it up yet now’s a perfect time to try it for free. A demo has been made available for you fence-sitters on the PC Store today, along with a trailer for the game and part 2 of episode 3 of Movement. That’s all there is to today’s update; short and sweet. Here’s the info in a handy list form:

Can’t get enough of Bionic Commando Rearmed, the 2D remake coming to PSN, XBLA, and PC? Head on over to Xbox 360 Fanboy and read their interview with Ben Judd, Capcom Japan’s producer in charge of the Bionic Commando brand, to get the skinny on the production, their plans for the franchise, and the rationale for cutting out online co-op.

Available for download off the XBLM today is new Frontlines: Fuel of War downloadable content that’ll add four mulitplayer maps to the online multiplayer gaming mix. But we think there’s a typo on the DLC announcement. For some reason, this 4 Map Pack DLC is listed for 800 Microsoft points which just can’t be right. Surely a game like Frontlines wouldn’t (and couldn’t) charge 800 points for four maps. This has to be a typo … right?

Apparently convinced that it can no longer make loads of cash from a 13-year-old PC game, publisher EA has combined motivated marketing with measured magnanimity and released real-time strategy classic Command & Conquer: Red Alert for free. Where? Right at the bottom of this Red Alert 3 promotional page, which also dangles a free copy of Red Alert 2 in front of your nose. To get it, all you need to do is pre-order the game’s third, deliciously cheesy installment.

And hey, if you’re not sure what all this Conquer and Command stuff is, now’s as good a time as any to shake Hitler by the hand and irrevocably wreck the timeline.

[Thanks, WiNG]

On New Year’s day supporters of Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul gathered on the Whisperwind (US) realm in World of Warcraft to march across Azeroth and show their support for their candidate of choice. The rally started outside Ironforge with approximately 240 players (with 400 members in their RP Revolution guild) and traveled to Stormwind, Westfall, Booty Bay, Ratchet, and finally Orgrimmar. And if you didn’t make it, you can still experience the rally vicariously via our image gallery below (and if you did make it, feel free to send screenshots to us at aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com!) or video above!

To the best of our knowledge, this was the first political rally to be held in World of Warcraft — and looking at their numbers it seems to have been a successful and upbeat gathering (or at least it was upbeat for the participants). Will this event help Ron Paul’s chances in the election? It’s hard to say until the votes are cast, but the uniqueness of the event is causing it to get a lot of media coverage. (And no press is bad press, so long as they spell your name properly, right?) Read on for impressions of the event.

New Tutorial Is Pc Gaming Dying? Or Thriving?

Two internet users enjoy video games during the Campus Party, the world's biggest on-line electronic entertainment event, at the Biennial Pavilion, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 13, 2008. The week-long annual event that began in Spain in 1997 unites participants from all over the world to share ideas, experiences and all types of activities related to computers, communications and new technology. AFP PHOTO/Mauricio LIMA (Photo credit should read MAURICIO LIMA/AFP/Getty Images)Every couple of years — usually after a fresh crop of consoles hit the market — the drumbeat starts to sound: PC gaming is finished. Consoles are where it’s at. Is it true? Is PC gaming really dead?

Yesterday we revealed the, interestingly named, expansion pack Rocketmen: It Came from Uranus for the Xbox Live Arcade shoot-em-up Rocketmen: Axis of Evil.

Today we have five screenshots of the game which are ironically safe-for-work. While we didn’t get past the demo of the XBLA title, Capcom decided it was popular enough to warrant an expansion pack. The pack will add new weapons and levels to the game and will run gamers 400 MS Points when it releases on May 14.
